Last week's post on the 25 Most Exciting Bands In America generated an astonishing response.

We asked you to suggest bands who should have made the list - and you didn't disappoint. Here, then, are 25 more must-hear US bands, as recommended by NME.COM users.

Wow...what a stellar list. I can't believe The Dead Trees are on there! They're finally getting the recognition they deserve. Same for the Redwalls too...I have to admit, I'm not to sure about boys like girls being there though.

I still don't see the white stripes, interpol, death cab, albert hammond jr, beck, and the best band in the world; the strokes. and why are kings of leon and mgmt gone? they were the only ones who deserved to be in that list.

Delta Spirit are a great band! and I heard the Whigs and Virgins are supposed to make a splash! I've heard good things about Weather Underground and love what i hear from them. Pretty good list NME
