Good news for everyone's favourite grunge troopers - they're back back back and they haven't fixed what aint broke.

Nine Black Alps

continued...

We got exclusive hold of Nine Black Alps' first track back and as you can see from the first crunchy chord it's business as usual.

This time round the band eschewed the glamour of LA for their native Manchester, getting to work on their third album with longtime Manics producer Dave Eringa at the helm. Currently untitled, it's due out in the summer and a UK headline tour begins in Nottingham on May 18th. Check MySpace for details. Might be time to raise your game Dinosaur Pile-Up...

Yeeeeeah Alps :) I think you should mention more grunge related things in your article though NME, people won't know quite which pigeonhole to put them in.

Cheers for the better bitrate, sweeeeeeeeeet that they're back. *insert nme hating comment since I'm too cool for nme and therefore slag them off and complain that people follow a fad if nme says to, rather than just ignoring articles that don't interest me* and breathe

Joel [Visitor] //April 8 2009 at 18:11
I like this. Lyrics seem slightly contrived but the song overall is great!
