Some excellent jagged noisemongery for you as a bonus today. This lot are supporting Biffy Clyro on their UK tour starting Saturday (Oct 24th) in Southampton so if you're going to any of the dates be sure to get down early for an epileptic fit of big riffs and bigger drums.

Pulled Apart By Horses

If you couldn't afford it we've got a pair of tickets to give away to see Biffy and Pulled Apart By Horses at London's Brixton Academy on Nov 12th. Just comment below with your own description of this track - I'll check back next Wednesday and pick a winner...

awesome beards and sweaty man-nipples in frantic, exquisite, ear-drum-humping musical form :)

Dragging guitar riffs, yelps, furious drums, reminiscient to the sound of 90's grunge music, only better.

like someone strumming a drumkit, and fucking my earhole with an oak walking stick from 1954 that has slightly rotted overtime but is still useable in weather conditions that would permit walks of a length that may require its use.
Josh Adams [Visitor] //October 23 2009 at 08:39
Simply amazing.
Doom [Visitor] //October 23 2009 at 11:45
Kind of like the process of fossils becoming primal sludge becoming oil, condensed into a shorter time-span, then drizzled with Aldo Zilli's lemon sauce, garnished with beard clippings from Giant Haystacks. After the opening five seconds it's really more like an appoplectic pitbull being warmly nuzzled by Sufjan Stevens riding a motorbike down the A27 from Bognor to Brighton, only harder and faster, and possibly with more flames painted on the side.
Doom [Visitor] //October 23 2009 at 11:54
Actually, I've just listened to it again and it sounds more like the howls of protest that would come from Boris Johnson's bicycle were it given the powers of speech, expertly mixed with a 1988 Kenwood food processor at medium setting. The resulting sound world is eerily reminiscent of parts of Kent, but also conjures up images of tarmac and raspberries in the scoop of a JCB that's been painted black, hurtling across the Great British countryside while being chased by a pack of ornithology enthusiasts - all making various bird-call in an effort to stop the JCB on its terrible, terrible journey of wanton destruction. Sort of...
Jamie Keddie [Visitor] //October 23 2009 at 17:38
does what it says on the tin, feels like being Pulled Apart by Horses. Love. It.
Colin Gold [Visitor] //October 23 2009 at 18:58
Sounds like being repeatedly hit over the head with Mrs. Beeton's Cookbook while trying to do the Times' cryptic crossword. Total headfuck. Well weapon.
Dean Caffery [Visitor] //October 24 2009 at 03:40
It makes Enter Shikari look like the Spice Girls, i admire that.
David Foster [Visitor] //October 24 2009 at 13:43
Sounds like a lion being punched in the throat repeatedly by MC Hammer!

Ok - time to announce the winner. At first I thought this was the funniest: "Like an ocelot serenading a mermaid off the coast of Skegness." Then I laughed even harder at this: "like someone strumming a drumkit, and fucking my earhole with an oak walking stick from 1954 that has slightly rotted overtime but is still useable in weather conditions that would permit walks of a length that may require its use." HOWEVER, on balance and on account of its brevity and use of the word "teabagged" - Suze's "Like being teabagged by Godzilla" wins the tickets. Email your address to tim_chester@ipcmedia.com
Suze [Visitor] //October 28 2009 at 17:18
