You have to give it to Faris, he knows how to create eery gothic atmosphere. Recently he gave the excellent Memory Tapes track 'Bicycle' a whole new life and now - under the pseudonym Lumina (alongside Cherish Kaya, formerly of Ipso Facto) - he's turned his attention to Black Lips.
His maudlin take on 'I'll Be With You' is the b-side to their new single 'Drugs'.

That is very, very, very sixth form.
When I made stuff like that 6 years ago I had 7 myspace friends and no press attention...there was good reason.

This is not terrible...it's not good either.
It is simply just a few minutes of nothingness which would not get a single jot of attention were it not for the fame of the person making it.
As music it is just so inoffensive, dull and pointless.
