It was sometime during the second hundredth summer of Brooklyn that we first came across Violens. The early Beach Boys-in-meltdown demo ‘Sensation Descends’ was way out of kilter with what anyone else was (and is) pursuing, an unashamedly perky psychedelic pop dispatch postmarked for summertime.

Their latest is more of them same, Zombies-via-Prefab Sprout jangle with a dash of Grizzly Bear harmonising, and this remix sees the track taken down the rabbit hole by NY scene patron saints and lovers of kaftans MGMT.
