Like Cleopatra, I'm coming atcha. You know I'm joking with this street lingo right? Good. Now let's have a walk through a couple of tracks exciting my iPod this week.

First up. I managed to bag last minute tickets for a tiny Florence & The Machine gig last night in London. At the 350 capacity 100 Club on Oxford Street I bore witness to a fine musical show that was hot, sweaty and of epic proportions. It was nice to take a trip back in time and see her playing small sweatboxes. The show nowadays is much more honed.

Greetings friends, lovers and cohorts. Wow. Where did the week go? I'm getting ready for a weekend DJing - at the mighty Proud Gallery in Camden tonight then up the M1 to Sheffield tomorrow to play what will end up being the Arctic Monkeys aftershow party at Threads club night. Here's a couple of disco bombs I'll be dropping over the weekend.

Hello - Firas here again from NME Radio, filling in for Jon Hillcock from 10am every day while he's away.

Firas

Just thought I'd share with you what's been locked on my iPod this week. First up, a track that's by no means new, it's actually quite old, but a classic nonetheless.

1. Thursday is in for a musical kicking, and a special guest.

Today from 10am on NME Radio there’ll be a stack of decent music to be heard, discovered, loved, and no doubt, hated. This includes the bloody ace North Atlantic Oscillation , Devendra Banhart, Magic Wands and Loney Dear, plus some beasts of old, from the likes of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Klaxons, Elastica, The Cardigans, and Blur, with a song that was accompanied at the time by a promo that made Damon and co. look a bit like Clockwork Orange droogs, but if they had been dressed by BHS.
