It's almost time for Birmingham's Supersonic Festival (24-27 July), so that means eardrums are about to be immolated and brains mangled by the irresistable onslaught of quality music on show. It's proving to be a very worthy companion to the venerable ATP, except instead of Butlins/Pontins you're stuck in a Midlands hell-hole, with only Zu and some warm lager for company. Essentially, it's the musical equivalent of being flayed, but in a good way, and for three days.
