Brooklyn is in fact drowning in so many sickeningly brilliant musicians, we decided to host a whole night of them at Club NME at the Annex at next week’s CMJ festival. Amazing Baby, Chairlift and Violens are all playing along with Apache Beat, who are gonna pack the place with Williamsburg scenesters and launch their single ‘Tropics’.

On Thursday Heartsrevolution are parking up their ice cream van at the venue and interviewing other Brooklyn bands Passion Pit and MGMT spin-off Kuroma and the best the UK can muster in response right now aka Little Boots.

It will be big and we’ll be covering it from every angle next week.

Meanwhile, Apache Beat’s singer Ilirjana – who also edits online music mag The Pop Manifesto - sent me a load of remixes of ‘Tropics’ from G.L.O.V.E.S., C.F.C.F. and Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya. Enjoy
