5 Lesser Known Acts You Have To See At Latitude 2011

With The National, Suede, Foals, Bombay Bicycle Club and more headlining Latitude this summer, it would be easy to stick with the big bands. But there's also a stellar line-up of new and smaller acts, make sure you don't miss these guys.

Gwilym Gold




Why: The ex-Golden Silvers frontman released his debut solo single 'Flesh Freeze' in the revolutionary 'Bronze' format, using the bods at Goldsmiths University to make a single that never sounds the same twice.
Where and when: TBC.

Ghostpoet



Why: Mike Skinner et al are fans of the Coventry MC, who released his debut album 'Peanut Butter Blues And Melancholy Jam' early this year.
Where and when: The Lake Stage, Sunday.

Brown Brogues



Why: Annoyingly young and talented, Brown Brogues put on a high-energy, gritty, bluesy rock show with the skill and sound of a band that's been going for 30 years.
Where and when: The Lake Stage, Friday.

Various Cruelties



Why: Vaccines support act and general online buzz-band Various Cruelties produce tight, indie, summery tracks. Don't miss the Radar favourites at Latitude.
Where and when: The Lake Stage, Friday.

Oh Land



Why: The Danish singer, real name Nanna Øland Fabricius, stage name Oh Land, produces beauitful pop in the style of Lykke Li and Bjork.
Where and when: Sunrise Arena, Sunday.
