8 Of The Best Performances From Radio 1's Big Weekend - watch

It's been Radio 1's Big Weekend in Derry-Londonderry this past weekend (May 24-26), where over 40,000 people were treated to some of the biggest, best acts around – and Olly Murs – in the city's Ebrington Square. The three-day event saw headline performances from Calvin Harris, Biffy Clyro and Bruno Mars. Yeah, the line-up was littered with a few dodgy acts – we're looking at you Conor Maynard – but there was plenty of good stuff to make it a top weekend. We've picked out eight of the best below:

Biffy Clyro – 'Biblical'

Oh my, what a tear-jerker! You can always rely on Biffy to bring the emotion and this was a real highlight from their Saturday headline set. Also, check out frontman Simon Neil's new blonde hairdo! It's a sweet look.

Haim – 'Falling'

After rescheduling their European shows last month to concentrate on finishing off their much-anticipated debut album, the trio finally made it back to our shores. This version of their track 'Falling' sounds totally epic. Bring on the LP!

Vampire Weekend – 'Diane Young'

In 'Modern Vampires Of The City', these New York lads have made one of the best new albums this year. 'Diane Young' is also the LP's best track. Watch them totally slay the Derry-Londonderry crowd. Awesome.

The Vaccines – 'Bad Mood'/'Nørgaard'

This set-ending double salvo was full of raw passion and unabashed joy. Just look at Freddie Cowan's guitar playing on the brilliant 'Bad Mood', he's properly going for it. Nice work man.

Two Door Cinema Club – 'Sun'

Northern Irish boys Two Door Cinema Club were a huge draw over the weekend, with thousands catching their fellow countrymen. They didn't disappoint. 'Sun' drenched the crowd with its good vibes.

Jake Bugg – 'Lightning Bolt'

It's been quite the year for Buggy and his performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend highlights just how far he's come. The brilliant 'Lightning Bolt' was the undisputed highlight of his set, and received one of the biggest crowd sing-a-longs all weekend.

Miles Kane – 'Come Closer'

While he included some smashing new tracks, such as 'Taking Over', from his forthcoming second album 'Don't Forget Who You Are' – which you can exclusively stream here btw – it was this angry beast of a set closer which tore the roof off of the tent.

Foals – 'Inhaler'

You want some fuzz? You've got it! Yup, Foals really like raw-powered feedback and this version of the ace 'Inhaler' sounds totally mega.
