Pulp at Glastonbury - full gig report and setlist
Where and when: The Park stage, Saturday
Vibe: Another massively unsecret secret gig, but a somewhat sunnier and more upbeat affair than Radiohead's. Jarvis on top form, Glastonbury giving the love, the festival cooking up another moment.
Best bit: The beginning, the middle and the end. 'Disco 2000', 'Like A Friend' (which they've never played live before), 'Mis-Shapes', 'This Is Hardcore' followed by 'Sunrise', some track called 'Common People' to finish it off - if we had to choose six. Pulp were in magnificent form and clearly enjoying the now-standard Park set.
Low point: We're still looking, actually.
Banter: Wishing happy birthday to Ricky Gervais and George Michael in his own inimitable way, dissing the reports that people were testing punters' effluent for drugs, recounting his Glasto memories, drinking to our health, discussing the merits of the Twix bar - Jarvis' chat knew no bounds. Like we said, Cocker was on top form. He practically didn't stop talking. He also told us that Glasto isn't about me or you, it's about us, in keeping with the weekend's 'love one another' vibe.
Verdict: If you were there, you know. If you missed it, it was whatever.
Were you there? What did you think?
