So the T In The Park 2011 line-up has been announced – and the three headliners are: Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay.
All three headliners have topped the bill at the event before – Coldplay in 2003, Foo Fighters in 2005 and Arctic Monkeys in 2007. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a big-hitting, banker line-up.
Other acts on the bill include Beady Eye, Pulp, Hurts, The View and My Chemical Romance, Weezer, Pendulum and Tinie Tempah. You’ll find the full line-up here.
Foo Fighters will no doubt be tearing through tracks from new album ‘Wasting Light’, which – according to Dan Martin’s track-by-track – is their best since 1997’s ‘The Colour And The Shape’.
Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys are currently finishing off their fourth album in Los Angeles with producer James Ford – and this should be a good opportunity to hear those new songs.
The band have got a couple of huge hometown gigs lined up in June, but beyond those, T In The Park is the only UK festival they’re confirmed for as yet.
T In The Park takes place in Balado on July 8–10.
