Who Ruled Reading And Leeds Festival 2010?

Ask Axl Rose who ruled Reading And Leeds this year and he’ll say he did. Even if he was more the pantomime villain of the piece than its triumphant hero.

Blink-182 were the court jesters – joking about going down on Obama and belching throughout their set. Mumford, Foals and Magnetic Man all look like potential heirs to throne.

But who RULED? Who shook the festival at its foundations and packed their crowd home with shit-eating grins and feet barely touching the ground?

A number of contenders pulled huge crowds and smashed it live. Dizzee, Paramore, LCD Soundsystem, The Libertines (read a review here), Weezer, Biffy Clyro and Queens Of The Stone Age, to name just a few.

Paramore

Arcade Fire undoubtedly elevated themselves to festival superstars.

If you read some of the comments raging in our blogs, Axl is the greatest living saviour of good ol’ fashioned rock ‘n’ roll, with all its brazen bad behaviour and disregard for the rules.

But who would you vote the King or Queen of Reading and Leeds in 2010? State the case for your favourites in the comments section below.
