There are plenty of rumours flying around about this year's Download (June 11-13) line-up, the first acts from which are set to be announced by Live Nation in a couple of weeks.

Them Crooked Vultures, AC/DC and Van Halen look likely to be the main headliners. Plus, with a System Of A Down reunion on the cards - and a Soundgarden comeback already confirmed, naturally there's talk of those esteemed bands joining the bill.

However, let's not forget the presence of Download's hard-rock rivals Sonisphere (July 30-August 1), who will be doing everything in their power to secure a headline-grabbing, er, headliner. System would seem to fit that bill. Meanwhile, Soundgarden could well go with Reading and T, in the same way Rage Against The Machine did in 2008.

Remember, too, that My Chemical Romance will be touring their fourth album this summer, though again - given the hoo-ha from metal purists last time they played Download, I'm betting they go with Reading this time, quite possibly as headliners.

Needless to say, we'll be bringing you line-up news as soon as we hear it. In the mean time, who would you love to see play Download 2010? Apart from Laura Marling, obviously.
