Now that the tickets for the NME Awards Tour, featuring Two Door Cinema Club, Metronomy, Tribes and Azealia Banks, have been released, it's time to unveil the acts for the NME Awards shows 2012. Tickets for these are onsale now. Don't know all the acts? Allow us to introduce you...

Charli XCX
Like a darker, more electro Marina, this self-described "Goth-pop" starlet from London has already supported Peaches and Robyn live and is gearing up to release her debut album.

Oh and when we say dark, we mean it. Here's what she had to say about her new single 'Nuclear Seasons':

It's about a sense of decay. Whether it be the decaying of love, the decaying of life or the decaying of a period of time. It's about being lost and frozen and surviving. It's about being on your own and feeling magic alive when you come through the other side.

Slow Club
This boy-girl folk-rock duo from Sheffield recently released their second record, 'Paradise' - in which we find a more mature, reserved sound that takes on both love and loss.

You can watch the video for their single 'Where I'm Waking' below:

Pure Love

Frank Carter's post-Gallow days have been kept busy as he's kick started a brand new band called Pure Love. There's very little out there from them, besides a website, a Twitter account and this short little teaser clip of their new material:

Carter and Clouds/Hope Conspiracy man Jim Carroll indicated that they began recording their debut album in September (under their freshly inked deal with Vertigo) and will be touring soon.

Band Of Skulls
Over at XOYO (on Feb 15th), this three-piece will be celebrating the release of their second studio album 'Sweet Sour' (out Feb 21st) with an NME Awards 2012 show. You may recognise the name from the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack (if that's your sorta thing), but if you're not already familiar with the bluesy garage rock of Band Of Skulls, then check out this video:

tUnE-yArDs
If you swing by O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on Feb 15th, then you'll get to see Merrill Garbus take on her colourfully wacky musical alter-ego tUnE-yArDs. NME called her latest release 'w h o k i l l' "fierce, feral and fun" and compared Garbus to "primal, wrong-righting spirits that click like a force of nature". Want to know why? Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
And now we come to Mr. Orlando Higginbottom, aka Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs aka TEED. He was named one of NME's 20 Most Groundbreaking Dance Acts In The World, and he recently released a remix of Lady Gaga's 'Marry The Night'.

He's pretty great, plut he wears a killer headdress. Check out his video for 'Garden' (featuring the vocals of Luisa from Lulu and The Lampshades):

Cloud Control

On Feb 17th, Australian five-piece Cloud Control will be swinging by Camden Town's Electric Ballroom to play some hits from their 2010 album 'Bliss Release' (and maybe showcase some new material).

Get to know them through this massively stripped down performance of 'Gold Canary', using just one guitar, four pairs of hands and feet and some beautiful harmonies:

The Big Pink

You already know these guys - they sang that song 'Dominos' (unless you don't know it, and in that case, where have you been this past year?). But they're back after a short hiatus (minus member Akiko Matsuura) and just whacked out a brand new tune ‘Hit The Ground (Superman)', sampling Laurie Anderson's 'O Superman':

The Big Pink's forthcoming second studio album 'Future This', is due to be released on January 16, 2012.

Kurt Vile

The guy with the loveliest hair in music right now will be trekking to London from his hometown of Philly to play an NME Awards show at Camden's KOKO venue on Feb 21st.

Here's the official video for his gorgeous single 'Baby's Arms':

And you can listen to ‘Society Is My Friend', which NME described as "the sound of a true maverick unafraid of taking the untrodden path":

Alabama Shakes
This Alabama-based (duh) troupe impressed our Radar team at CMJ so much that we had to add them to our list of Awards shows - they'll be stopping by London's Boston Arms on Feb 22nd.

Plus, Arctic Monkey Alex Turner totally digs them, so you should too. Watch them perform 'I Found You' below:

Oh Land

Danish lady Nanna Øland Fabricius wowed us with her debut material, namely single 'Sun Of A Gun' (watch it below) - seriously, it played on repeat in this office for quite some time. Well, now she'll be bringing her electro-pop to London's Heaven venue on Feb 23rd.

We caught up with Nanna (on a boat) at Latitude Festival 2011, so check out what she had to say about getting drunk with Kanye, not showering at Glasto and listening to classical music on the tour bus.

Little Dragon

They're probably one of the most overlooked acts out there, but this foursome from Gothenburg, Sweden, fronted by vocalist Yukimi Nagano, bring a unique form of hodgepodgy synthpop that we can't get enough of. NME said their latest album ‘Ritual Union’ "could be what elevates them above the status of college art project." Stream the lead single below:

Marina And The Diamonds

So now we're down to the final two acts, who really need to introduction. A newly blonde Marina Diamandis will head up the show at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on Feb 26th, and it's guaranteed to be a bright, flashy, "radioactive" event.
