There’s now just under a week until the Shockwaves NME Awards 2009, that takes place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 25.
You’ve already read the blogs from the bands on this year’s Awards Tour (if you haven’t, then keep clicking below for exclusive snippets from Glasvegas, Florence and White Lies themselves, on the road and backstage) – and now we’re going to be bringing you daily updates as we prepare for the music party of the year.
Want the inside knowledge on who’ll be presenting awards, who will be the host, what the bands will be eating and drinking, and all the other surprises we’ve got in store for you? Then make sure you drop by this blog every day from now on.
We’ll also be posting photos, videos, backstage gossip and plenty of other bits on the night of the Awards themselves. So if you can’t smuggle yourself into the ceremony by dressing as a Klaxon (others have tried and failed, believe us), this is the place to be.
And we promise – there’ll be no Take That miming whilst dressed as nerds and riding a UFO. Cool as that was at the BRITS.
To get you excited, here’s a couple of clips from last year’s trophy bonanza. Good, wasn’t it?
