VO5 NME Awards 2018: Listen to all the nominees with our handy, banging playlist

Featuring the crème de la crème of music

Every year the VO5 NME Awards recognises the good and great in music over the last 12 months (and the not-so-great in the wider world – we’re looking at you, villains). This year is no different, of course, with everyone from Wolf Alice and Kendrick Lamar to The 1975 and Dua Lipa all up for gongs.

We’ve put together a playlist of every relevant nominee (thankfully Theresa May doesn’t have anything on Spotify) that’s in the running in 2018. It’s pretty banging, if we say so ourselves. Play it when you’re making those all-important voting decisions, use it to brighten up your rush hour commute, or just to remind yourself how great the past 12 months have been, tunes-wise. Whatever you do while listening, just make sure you’ve got it on loud.

VO5 NME Awards 2018 nominees

A playlist featuring alt-J, Kasabian, Wolf Alice, and others

The VO5 NME Awards 2018 will take place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 14. You can vote for who you think deserves to win here, and recap all the nominees at the bottom of the page.

Liam Gallagher will receive the Godlike Genius award on the night, joining the likes of Johnny Marr, Blondie, and his brother Noel, in the hall of fame. He’ll close out the ceremony with a special live performance too – you can watch the whole night on Facebook, or keep up to date with all the action on NME.COM.
