Opening my inbox this morning, I had mail. It was from Lewis at Hall Or Nothing PR. He wrote (in huge black type): "WOT NO VOODOO RAY?"

Lewis's big-fonted query had a point, one that's no doubt been splenetically echoed by many a reader without access to my personal email. Wot no 'Voodoo Ray'? No 'Man With The Red Face'? No The Source Ft Candi Staton? What the hell were we even thinking?

So to tie in with the feature in this week's magazine, we compiled our Top 25 Rave Anthems rundown into Spotify and We7 playlists. Give or take. Due to availability issues, there's no Frankie Knuckles, no KLF (bastards deleted their back-catalogue, innit), and Josh Wink has been replaced by the slightly less legendary DJ Cardio version of 'Higher State Of Consciousness'.

And then we made it collaborative. Feel free to add your own bits and pieces in the usual fashion, and together we can build a Rave Anthems playlist so amazing that, when internet archeologists uncover its petrified remnants in the year 2525, they will say unto one another: "Truly, this was their DEFINITIVE set of banging choons..."

You'll find the full list of 25 in the mag but here are our top 5. Which tracks would you nominate?

5. Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life

4. Goldie Presents Metalheads - Inner City Life

3. Justice Vs Simian - We Are Your Friends

2. The Prodigy - Charly

1. Underworld - Born Slippy
