Friday, November 6 - Glasgow:
Woke up and got back on the road to Glasgow.. our bass player Kam was 25 minutes late - at 2 pounds a minute that comes to a hefty late fee of 50 pounds, man.... sucks for you!
The road to Scotland was gorgeous - rainy in the highlands but so crazy - some parts really reminded me of the southwest of France where my Mom is from. We watched the Fifth Element along the way - I solidified that as one of my favorite movies of all time, if not my fave. The story is so well written, and visual aesthetic is perfect, and Milla Jovovich is such a fucking babe, man...DAMN. We got to Glasgow and it was pissing rain.
The venue looked pretty rad, though - we got all sound checked and settled and ready to RIP. The show that night was really great - I think probably the best of the whole tour as far as atmosphere and vibe. We were all going apeshit - band and crowd included. What a fun time. We really hope to come back and play T In The Park this summer for sure - that festival rules. I can't wait to come back and play festivals in the UK in general - they are so much fun and people are so rad out here. It really feels like they are just true fans of music - they support and LOVE it, just like we do. And not just a specific genre of music.. As a musician, that's the best thing one could ever hope for - that kind of support and enthusiasm for the art in general. Fuck, man - what a great place!
