Event: BFI Film Festival
On October 8-19, the British Film Institute is bringing 248 films to 17 venues in London. Catch a host of new releases, including Dear White People and The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby as well as restored classics such as Guys And Dolls and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Across the festival, there’ll also be interviews and talks with directors and masterclasses in animation, documentary making and more.

Book: Touching From A Distance: Ian Curtis And Joy Division by Deborah Curtis
Ahead of the publication of Ian Curtis’ lyrics and notebooks comes this reissue of the biography written by his widow Deborah. This new edition includes an introduction from Joy Division drummer Stephen Morris.

Boxset: Smashing Pumpkins – ‘Adore’
The US band are set to release new music in 2015, but this reissue of their fourth album should tide fans over until then. Across six CDs and one DVD, the boxset includes 107 tracks from ‘Adore’-era Pumpkins, including rarities, outtakes, demos and an entire live show from 1998.
