Albums Of The Year 2012 - One List To Rule Them All

Have you been naughty or nice this year? Wait, don’t answer that: Santa already knows and he’s drawing up his documentation accordingly. He’s not the only saintly, white-bearded man making lists this time of year: there’s also a Glastonbury line-up to be sorted.






Music magazines love getting into the list-writing business this time of year. Fortunately for everyone, we’ve already published the world’s only objectively correct and 100% accurate list of the best albums and best tracks of the year, and they’re available on this website for your perusal and musical edification.

But Christmas is nothing if not a time for sharing, so in the spirit of Santa Claus himself we’ve decided to pull together lists from across the musical universe and aggregate them to see who comes out on top. The rules are simple: twenty points for finishing first, one point for coming in at number twenty, and I’m sure you can figure out all the numbers inbetween yourself.
