So I already blogged about these Brooklyn art-prog lunatics way back in November, at the time in the grip of a fever of anticipation over their forthcoming UK shows, which were said to involve strip lighting, glitter cannons, cheerleaders, lasers and skeleton suits – or all five. Then they cancelled and a weeks worth of youtube dribbling fizzled out into the realisation I’d have to make do with homegrown talent for a while.
They’re about to have another stab at funding themselves across the Atlantic, with a tiny tour big on ambition starting at London’s Fabric on April 9th before Brighton (10th) and London ICA (14th). Anyone who’s keen on Queen, bombast, extravagance and high camp theatrics should book it in. Enemy fans might want to steer clear.
