Forget Dan Black, it's all about Black Daniel today. The band - a product of New York and London via Cape Cod and LA - are blessed with many things, among them celeb fans (Suicide, Eddie Argos, him from Chairlift), a really informative press release (did you know drummer Luke hates jazz but loves cheese fondu?) and in one case a nice little moustache.
More importantly perhaps, they've also got a knack for big ominous electro and a double A-side single out soon that we would heartily recommend. A1, ‘Here Comes Caesar’, is all gloomy vocals and industrial bass (think Goose’s subsonic frequencies) that turns bight and harmonica-filled in a Brian Jonestown kind of way in the final dying seconds. A2, ‘I Love You But Don’t Touch Me Cos You're Sick’, meanwhile is a more upfront garage scuzz romp.
