Blur Are Back - Inside This Week's NME (Feb 25)

Don't call it a comeba… actually, do call it a comeback – and one of the most exciting of the year, as Blur give us the full shimmy about their 2012 return. We already know they're set to hook up at the Brits, but in our exclusive interview they tell us all about their huge Hyde Park show set for this summer, their album plan and why they won't be following The Stone Roses' reunion tour route. Oh, and Damon explains why he "doesn't mind" Noel Gallagher's album.

We've also got free Blur posters – including a classic early shot of them – so after reading about the chaps you can rip them out of your mag and stick them on your wall.

Elsewhere in the magazine we bring you all the carnage (primarily provided by Tribes) from the NME Awards tour in our four-page feature, in which Johnny Lloyd and co enjoy boozing with Metronomy, hanging with Two Door Cinema Club and, er, "grinding" with Azealia Banks.

Back in Upfront, we've got a full report, interview, pictures and fan reactions from ex-Gallows bellow-head Frank Carter's new band Pure Love. Turns out that Frank still enjoys leaping into the crowd quite a lot – but those tunes are a hell of a lot bigger than anything Gallows swung out. Get the mag for the full lowdown.

As well as the UK's best gig guide we've got the NME verdict on the new Ting Tings album, we join Alabama Shakes on tour in the US ahead of their crazy-buzz first UK shows this week, Tom Meighan from Kasabian has his braincells tested and we investigate what the heck Klaxons are up to with their new album.
