B.Y.O.B. used to be just an acronym for Bring Your Own Bottle and the act of taking a five quid bottle of plonk into a restaurant to save money under the pretense of matching your meal with something from your own cellar. But if post-grime man Ashley Hamilton (not George Hamilton's son) has anything to do with it it might soon mean something more.

BYOB

B.Y.O.B. the artist has already made some famous friends with the likes of Lady Gaga choosing last year's 'Best Shoes' to walk on stage to, and he's not afraid to plunder some of pop's best moments for his post-millenial electro grime/rave; forthcoming single 'Peaches' is a cover of The Stranglers and he's also co-opted the melody from The Bangles' 'Walk Like An Egyptian' for recent single 'Prescription'.

He sent us 'I Like It'. Have a listen, download, and let us know what you think...

Stereogum have a new track from "chillwave" types Small Black called 'Photojournalist' and also a Little Loud remix of Goldfrapp's 'Believer'.
RCRD LBL, meanwhile, have posted a nice tropical mix of Apache Beat's 'Another Day' on their site.
The Quietus are giving away a free Mogwai live track, ahead of the release of the post rock noisenik's 'Special Moves' live CD and DVD. Get '2 Rights Make 1 Wrong' here.
