To The Shard, where NME hob-nobbed with the stars at the launch party for Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ last night. While the world curled up on their sofas listening to the new album on iTunes, we heard it from “the viewing experience at the top of Western Europe’s tallest building”.

That’s one of the canapés on the right. I’d give the selection 5/10 TBH.
It was quite the party. Tinie Tempah, Rita Ora, Calvin Harris, Jude Law and Gem Archer from Beady Eye snarfed salmon and black rice canapés, champagne and lychee martinis. There was even a loo with glass walls. We were given a big envelope containing Daft Punk masks and an idea of what it was like to work in the music industry in the booming 90s i.e. swanky.
