Yesterday, running enthusiasts took over the streets of the UK’s capital for this year’s London Marathon. The event which stretches from The Mall in west London, down to Tower Bridge and all the way through central London saw friends and family line the street to support those taking part. Though you were probably in bed until an ungodly hour because after all, it was Sunday.
Plenty of celebrities took part in the massive event too including Top Gear presenter Chris Evans, Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer and Judge Rinder of the ITV daytime show of the same name. Want to see if you beat these celebrities and more during yesterday’s race? Take a look below.
The Top Gear and Radio 2 man completed the marathon for the first time in 2015 and came back for a second bite at the cherry this year. He finished with a time of 04:39:53 and was running on behalf of BBC’s Children In Need.
Before she returns to screens tonight as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones tonight, Dormer completed the 26.2 mile trek in an impressive 03:51:21 and raised money for the NSPCC by taking part.
Although not a real judge, Rob Rinder stormed through the marathon in lightning quick fashion – crossing the line in just 03:16:07 and raised plenty of cash in the meantime for Buttle UK.
The Made In Chelsea reality star also competed in the race raising money for cancer charity Marie Curie. She finished the race in a respectable time of 04:10:27.
The BBC newsreader also made short work of the mammoth task of the course, finishing in 03:35:20 while raising money for The Cure Parkinson’s Trust.
