Enter Shikari's Rou Reynolds has gotten into the festive spirit and has offered us his ten favourite Christmas tunes (while plugging one of his own - but we'll let him off the hook for that...)

1. The Darkness - 'Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)'
Such a fun Christmas song! The Darkness have always known how to make people smile. This one is no different. We remember Christmas Eve in our local pubs with the whole attendance singing along.

2. David Bowie & Bing Crosby - 'Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy'
It must be heard at least 20 times each Christmas. The marriage of Bing's tenor and David Bowie's alto makes you feel the Christmas spirit tingle down your spine for at least the three seconds in the first playing of each year. Whoever brought these two together is an absolute genius.

3. John Lennon - 'Merry Xmas (War Is Over)'
One for the mid-afternoon on Christmas day after the family have had a couple of drinks, getting a bit emotional, teary eyed and all group together to belt our the chorus "war is over, if you want it". Obviously, it's also a very poignant song as relevant now as it was when it was written.

4. Leroy Anderson - 'Sleigh Ride'
Such an upbeat, jolly Christmas classic. One to skip down the road to on a bright winter's morn'. Then slip over and fall on your arse, but it wont matter cos you'll be to jolly to be hurt.

5. Danny Elfman - 'What's This?'
The Nightmare Before Christmas - an amazing film that can be enjoyed at Christmas or Halloween. This is such a catchy tune that will have you singing "What's this? What's this?" for days. Love how the pace slows to an almost stop then springs up at you time again. You really feel the excitement and anticipation of Christmas.

6. Chuck Berry - 'Run Run Rudolph'
A DJ essential - everyone from grandma to the kids will get down to it.

7. Andy Williams - 'It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year'
It is a wonderful time of the year (I would say I still prefer summer though). Great drunken sing-along track.

8. DJ Rout - 'Wonderful Christmas Time (Remix)'
A little cheeky remix I did of McCartney's classic. Always bust this out when DJing in December each year - it brings some powerful nostalgia.

9. Shakin' Stevens - 'Merry Christmas Everyone'
A couple of played a cover of this with the school choir at secondary school. Just a real fun and upbeat xmas song. Always has a happy memory for us.

10. Mendelssohn - 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing'
Huge tune! Takes me back to the years used to go to midnight mass a bit pissed and belt out ridiculous harmonies as loud as we could.
