Holograms' debut album was far from being a happy-clappy, super optimistic record of joy, boasting songs about rape and isolation amongst other gloomy topics. Despite suffering tour exhaustion, losing their jobs and not having enough money to head back out on the road, their second effort 'Forever' feels slightly more positive. Sure, that's a feeling that's masked by their aggressive, chugging riffs and gang chanted choruses but there's a sense of progression that makes the Swedish quartet's struggle seem a bit more worthwhile.
