Exclusive Album Stream – London Shoegazers Younghusband Return With Second LP ‘Dissolver’

London quartet Younghusband started as the shoegazing bedroom project of frontman Euan Hinshelwood, became a four-piece in 2011 and, in 2013, released a full-length debut, which was produced by the same man behind Deerhunter’s ‘Monomania’. That psych-soaked Deerhunter sound is refined on this tauter second offering, ‘Dissolver’, out on October 30, but the immersive melodies remain a constant.

It’s produced by Robert Hampson, of 80s alt-rockers Loop, while Bad Seeds multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis was so enamoured by the album that he plays on two of its tracks – including ‘Dissolver’, the album’s title track, where Ellis’ cascade of violin parts brings the album to a decisive, triumphant close.
