Well this is bright and breezy. The latest thing to bolt from the Glassnote stable in the US (following The Temper Trap, Two Door Cinema Club, and Phoenix) are Givers, a very giving troupe of joyous indie popsters who will appeal to fans of any of the aforementioned.

'Up Up Up' sees big turn-that-frown-upside-down choruses and twinkling xylophones bounce merrily on a stompy beat that can't decide if it wants to go slow or fast, an excellent intro single informed by the Zydeco of their native Lafayette, Louisiana and fine-tuned by Animal Collective's Ben Allen. This summer's 'My Girls'? Quite possibly.
