No indie disco would be worth its salt without a precisely-executed drop of The Killers' 'Mr Brightside'. Heck, the song even came second in NME readers' poll of the greatest indie anthems ever (in which the Las Vegas band managed to lose out to themselves).

Now Brian O'Sullivan from Killorglin, County Kerry has paid respect to his friend Ger 'Farmer' Foley, who had cystic fibrosis and recently died at the age of 45, by prompting a mass singalong of Brandon Flowers and co's 2004 hit during the deceased man's wake at local pub Falvey's Bar.

O'Sullivan does a stellar job with his karaoke rendition-come-moving tribute, proceeding to whip off his shirt and crowdsurf in honour of ol' Ger.

Watch footage of the heartwarming moment below.

The Killers themselves were even impressed by the rendition, writing on Twitter: "Brian O'Sullivan, if Brandon ever needs a fill-in, we're calling you! May we all have friends like this #farmersrule". Wouldn't that be something, eh.
