NME Radio's Firas writes...
Well... what can I say? I got well and truly kidnapped by the disco train last week and thanks to the rather excellent Big In Japan night in Bournemouth on Thursday I didn't get chance to do my Friday blog post. These tracks were the main culprits keeping us up all night and should sound just as massive today.
First up Belgian beatmasters Soulwax. I'm pretty sure you know who these guys are but I dug the Justice remix out from the depths of my record box and the response was as large as ever.

Next up, The Whip. I've never really given their stuff the time of day but this remix will make your crowd throw disco shapes that even the early acid ravers would be proud of.

Next and we have this monster from Emalkay. Huge dubstep vibes. An absolute growler.

Death Metal Disco Scene are subject to quite a bidding war at the minute. I first met vocalist Sorcha back in 2008 when her previous band Vote Show Pony played my Filthy Few Live! night in London, and now she's teamed up with David James Billing (a man who's written tracks for Kylie Minogue and remixed a whole host of others).
I'm pleased to say they're playing our very special 3rd birthday party this Friday at Bar Music Hall in East London. Check the Filthy Few Live website for more info.
Finally, a big shout to Erol Alkan who's bringing this little beauty out to wider public recognition.
Late Of The Pier are back although this song has been around for a little while. The boys played this to me on their tour bus in Bristol about a year ago and the similarity between lead singer Sam and Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney was huge.

You can buy it on download in December. Keep checking the rather excellent Phantasy Sound for more info.
