Attention Fuck Buttons fans: one half of the electro-duo has decided to go solo for a little while. Under the moniker of Blanck Mass, Ben Power is releasing his debut solo album on June 20th, through Rock Action.

Blanck Mass

His introductory solo track, 'Land Disasters', is seven minutes of dreamy, minimalist instrumental bliss, and sounds like something you might hear at the crucial bit of an '80s sci-fi film, when the hero finally rescues the girl.

We're told that all ten tracks of the album will center around an unusual cross between "cerebral hypoxia" (when not enough oxygen gets to one's brain) and the complexities of the natural world. Yea, it sounds complicated and gives us a headache, too. But hey, it sounds good.

“I do like the fact that this album represents a pretty clear image of myself," says Powers of his recent recordings. "That which I am aware of and that which might be controlled by some other type of subconscious guidance."
