Can't get enough of The Libertines? Want to hear of their every move including what the drummer did next? Well you're in luck, as ex Libs sticksman and erstwhile Dirty Pretty Thing Gary Powell just announced a new release with his latest day job.
The Invasion Of... are a new band fronted by Task Forces' Robin Coombes and featuring Powell and are releasing a mini album, ‘373’, through 25 Hour Convenience Records on October 4th.

This is the third track, 'Memories', and it's a swinging, quasi metal monster. Let us know what you think. Powell has a child called Wolfe too, you know. I've seen the pair perambulating near my house.

We've featured Baltimore post-wavers and Thrill Jockey favourites Future Islands several times already (grab 'Tin Man' here and 'In The Fall', featuring Celebration's Katrina Ford here) but I've always got time for their maudlin mix of spectral synths and whiskey growled vocals. This is their latest and it's no less beautiful.
