BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2016 takes place tomorrow and Sunday at Powderham Castle in Exeter and, as ever, the lineup is pretty stellar. Here’s a handy guide to catching all the highlights.
Saturday (May 28)
On Radio 1: Coverage begins at 10am with an opening set from Nick Jonas. Between 1pm and 4pm there will be performances from Tom Odell, Sigma and – don’t say we didn’t warn you – Meghan Trainor. Taking to the stage between 4pm and 7pm will be Jake Bugg, Jess Glynne and Bastille, before Chase & Status come on at 7pm. Mumford And Sons’ headline set will follow at 9pm.
On BBC Four: Mumford and Sons‘ headline set will be broadcast at 10.40pm.
Sunday (May 29)
On Radio 1: Coverage begins once again at 10am with an opening set from OneRepublic, whose frontman Ryan Tedder spoke to NME earlier this week. Between 1pm and 4pm there will be sets from Kygo, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Years and Years, followed by performances from Iggy Azalea, The 1975 and Ellie Goulding between 4pm and 7pm. Expect to hear The Weeknd’s set around 7pm before Coldplay come on for their headline set at 9pm.
On BBC Four: Coldplay‘s headline set will be shown live at 9pm.
