This month sees a series of picnics taking place in parks around the country under the unwieldy banner Topshop Bandstand Picnics for Teenage Cancer Trust. Kicking off last weekend in London’s Regent’s Park and Bristol’s Castle Park (where this writer popped his White Lightning cherry) they’re putting on some pretty nice line-ups coupled with all kinds of picnicking shenanigans. Think cake stalls, egg and spoon racing, roller skating – Field Day without the monsoons or heavy-handed stewards.

To mark the occasion they sent us a load of tracks, from the woozy cloudgaze of Stricken City to a 4/4 mix of Daily Download regulars Chew Lips, via Sting’s Daughter and all-round Isle Of Wight pleaser I Blame Coco and an excellent mix of New Young Pony Club from Dalston electronic punks Teeth.
