With The Gaslight Anthem now on hiatus, frontman Brian Fallon has been left to freely roam music’s vast pastures solo. And the 35-year-old certainly hasn’t wasted too much time in getting his act together since his band downed tools last July, announcing his debut solo album ‘Painkillers’, which’ll hit both digital and physical shelves in March.

Today marks the arrival of the first fruits of this solo project in the form of a video for his stomp-along first single, ‘A Wonderful Life’. Directed by Andrew Donaghue, the clip lives up to its chirpy title by interspersing clips of people from all walks of life enjoying themselves – doing donuts in cars, blowing out birthday candles, dancing in the street – with shots of a denim-clad Fallon performing solo in an empty theatre.

Below is the video premiere for ‘A Wonderful Life’ – give it a watch, it’ll brighten your day.

You can own ‘A Wonderful Life’ right now when you pre-order ‘Painkillers’ on iTunes, whilst you can pre-order the CD, LP and album bundles here.
