1. James Blake – ‘A Case Of You’ (Joni Mitchell Cover)
So there’s this guy James Blake. You’ve probably heard of him. Well, his cover of Joni Mitchell’s ‘A Case Of You’ is just about the most gorgeous thing we’ve heard all week. He really doesn’t cease to impress, does he? No dubstep, just raw, stripped down beauty.

2. The Strokes – ‘Under Cover Of Darkness’
It’s likely you’ve already heard this song. Maybe you’ve even already downloaded it and listened to it on repeat about 50 times in a row. But for those of you who missed the web-wide memo, The Strokes have released a new single, and it’s classic Strokes good. Pick up the track for free from the band’s official website, and get ready for the release of their new album on March 21st.

3. The White Stripes – ‘Seven Nation Army’ (The Glitch Mob Remix)
R.I.P. The White Stripes. Forever will we remember the masterpiece that is ‘Seven Nation Army’. And to remind us of this timeless gem, The Glitch Mob have just released a new homage remix to download for free on their official website. Here’s what they had to say: “It’s no secret that we’re huge music geeks. More specifically, we love The White Stripes. We had started an unofficial remix of ‘Seven Nation Army’ back in November and it was sitting around in a folder waiting to be finished amongst many other projects. When we heard the news about them breaking up, it was all the impetus needed for us to finish the track.”

4. Noah And The Whale – ‘L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.’ (Fake Blood Remix)
The original version, which can be found on Noah And The Whale’s forthcoming album ‘Last Night On Earth’ (due out this March), sounds pretty much nothing like this remix. Kudos to Fake Blood for taking it to a whole new level of awesome. It’s thumping and pumping and downright hot.

Stereogum premiered this tune on Wednesday. DJ/Producer Chuckie of Dirty Dutch Music warped the track from the band’s third studio album ‘Immersion’ into an even chunkier offering that turns up the fire on this already club classic song.

9. Purity Ring – ‘Ungirthed’
This one’s a side project of one of the guys from Gobble Gobble. Check out the promo video below (NSFW, btw). It starts off looking like an exorcism on speed, then just kind of turns into some soft-core porn on fast forward. Whatever, still a great song.

10. The Plea - 'Praise Be'
This Irish rock band have drawn comparisons to U2, with frontman Denny's vocals sounding an awful lot like Bono's. You can download 'Praise Be' (the band's "warm up" track to their first proper single due out this March) below. The song was recorded during sessions the band recorded with Chris Potter (who's previously worked with Blur, The Verve, and U2 themselves).
