Pop star, actor and all-round good guy Justin Timberlake has teamed up with Jonathan Demme, the director of The Silence Of The Lambs and The Manchurian Candidate, for a new concert film that hits Netflix in October – and we can show you a first glimpse at the brand new trailer here.
The movie, Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids, lets you get up close at the final show of the singer’s 20/20 Experience World Tour at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena in January last year. Along with his band and dancers, the Tennessee Kids, Timberlake runs through his astounding back catalogue of hits, from the likes of ‘Rock Your Body’ and ‘Like I Love You’ to ‘Cry Me A River’ and ‘SexyBack’.
Working with Demme on such a project might sound bizarre at first, but he’s got form with this music thing. The director has been at the helm for videos by artists such as New Order, The Pretenders and Bruce Springsteen, and directed Talking Heads‘ own iconic concert film Stop Making Sense back in 1984.
Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids hits Netflix on October 12, but you can get a sneak preview via the trailer below.
