8. The Pretty Reckless – ‘Islands/Love the Way You Lie’ (Acoustic)
Here’s something we weren’t expecting: Gossip Girl starlet Taylor Momsen’s band stopped by Radio 1’s Live Lounge and recorded an acoustic mashup of The xx and Rihanna. Whether or not you approve of the 17-year-old’s rebellious ways and her black eyeliner overload, this is a pretty cool mashup.

9. Monotonix – ‘Give Me More’
Here’s a new, rowdy raucous of a track from Tel Aviv, Israel-based band Monotonix. ‘Give Me More’ is from the band’s sessions with Steve Albini, and will be on their forthcoming album due out next year.

10. The War On Drugs – ‘Comin’ Through’
Get ready for a new EP, ‘Future Weather’, from Philly-based band The War On Drugs. They can’t seem to get away from the Bob Dylan comparisons, which we can definitely still hear in this. And we totally dig it. You can get the EP on October 26th.
