Kasabian, Drenge, Gaga: NME's 10 Best Videos Of The Month

It's been a busy month for video on Kasabian delve back to 2009 and tell the story of 'Fire'. Originally planned as a B-side, the Elvis-inspired hit didn't "follow the rules" with the verse and chorus cut and pasted together. What's it about? "Bondage and whipping." Watch NME's short film about Blondie, charting Debbie Harry and the band's career from the early days of CBGBs, 'Parallel Lines' & the ground-breaking 'Rapture' to the 'Maria' comeback and present day.

Mark Foster of Foster The People tells us about his very first gig - and it's quite a story. In fact it's possibly the craziest episode of NME's My First Gig series. And in the first instalment of The Sample Life we took Jack Steadman of Bombay Bicycle Club to Rough Trade to pick three random records and gave him 30 minutes to create a track from scratch. It's a mighty effort.

You can also watch Drenge's blistering soundcheck session at The Scala, Belle & Sebastian's NSFW Song Story on 'The Boy With The Arab Strap', Patti Smith on rethinking the planet through Noah, and loads more.
