Lady Gaga’s’ Judas’ premiered yesterday and we’ve had an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the video with a commentary courtesy of the lady herself.*
“These guys might look like an outlaw, Hell’s Angels gang but they’re actually members of my fashion team. Pierre’s on the right there making the face. If I remember correctly I’m shouting something hil-a-rious about Dontella Versace.”
“This isn’t actually a person that I’m sitting behind, it’s a fancy brooch attached to my jacket. We got some rope, old McDonalds hamburgers and some glue and fashioned them into a paper mache human. Better than the meat dress, huh?”
“I think that this pack of Veet hair removal cream might have gone off…”
“I’m not sure what’s happening in this scene to be honest. The director just said: ‘It’s like that bit in The Bible when the wife of Job takes off her mask and reveals she’s the killer alien…so do a face reacting to that.’”
“We really wanted to channel the spirit of stock taking day at my local branch of All Saints. I think we really managed it in this scene.”
“Yup this ‘washing the feet’ scene was super awkward to shoot, but I just said to the guys: ‘don’t worry, when I finish doing my Shakira impression, we’re going to watch a non-stop, 12 hour ‘Glee’ marathon!’ They were silent but they were so excited, you can just tell from their faces, can’t you?”
* not really, it was just us being silly. Sorry Gaga.
