Liam Gallagher’s Fashion Range – Which Acts Could Follow Suit?

If you were going to identify the key musical tribes of the last two decades, ‘Oasis bloke’ would figure pretty highly. Everyone knows the look – baggy parka, shades, essentially a looser, less buttoned-up version of mod.

So it’s surprising it’s taken this long for an actual Oasis clothing range to emerge. Strictly speaking it’s Liam’s sole enterprise, and it’s called Pretty Green, after the Jam song.

No designs to show you as yet, although an online pre-sale is due to start soon, ahead of the official launch in June. And he seems to be taking it very seriously indeed.

“Clothes and music are my passion,” explains the Oasis vocalist, who is looking more like a Capuchin monkey with each passing haircut. “I’m not here to rip anyone off and I’m not doing it for the money either. I’m doing it because there’s a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear.”

But which other artists could get away with launching a clothing range? Glasvegas-branded shades? Bat For Lashes headbands? White Lies T-shirts (any colour you like, as long as it’s black). La Roux extra-strength hair gel?

Following on from our baldness photo gallery, perhaps Paul Smith could market a line of obfuscatory baseball caps?

Any other ideas?
