'Love The Music, Hate The Kids' - Free The Computers MP3

I’m adamant that there’s something in the water in Exeter (or maybe in ye olde Devonshire farmers’ cider) that is constantly birthing well-oiled punk fuckin’ rock'n'roll machines. The Computers are by absolutely no means an exception to this.

Filing themselves somewhere between The Bronx and Rocket From The Crypt, these four matching-costumed, thick-rimmed fronted modern-day era Elvis Costellos are a fresh plot of land to add to the geography of ace hardcore punk rock in the UK.

I first saw them at the London Barfly, and every time I’ve had the chance to witness them since, I couldn’t help but think that they wouldn’t look too out of place in the role of a suited-up gang in 'A Clockwork Orange' while they tear the stage to threads. Oozing confidence and donning a swagger only an evil, blood-thirsty movie villain could have, The Computers take the high – and rather unconventional – road to hardcore punk rock.

You could explain it as a riffy hardcore blues explosion, rocked out by a bunch of well-dressed mavericks. Or, you could say it’s spazzy garage rock'n'roll, coarse enough to draw blood from a stone. But to be honest, I don’t care what you call it. Fact is: it’s killer. Download the foot stompingly good ‘Love The Music, Hate The Kids’ below to see what I mean.

Oh, and make sure you don’t miss them at Reading/Leeds this August kicking up dust at the Lock Up stage. Just don’t choke too hard.
