Mercury Nominations 2011 - Hear All The Albums

The 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Prize shortlist has just been announced. If you're not already familiar with the twelve albums up for the best album of the year award, then here's your chance to listen to them before the winner is announced on Tuesday July 19th.





Adele - '21'
Her second studio album was released on January 21st. The Rick Rubin-produced album was the best-selling album of the year and set a new record after spending 11 consecutive weeks on top of the charts.

Anna Calvi - 'Anna Calvi'
The singer's debut album, produced by Rob Ellis, was released on January 14th via Domino Records.

Elbow - 'Build a Rocket Boys!'
Elbow's fifth studio album came out on March 7th, and was produced by band member Craig Potter.

Everything Everything - 'Man Alive'
David Kosten produced this debut album, which was released on August 30th through Geffen.

Ghostpoet's debut studio album was released on February 7th.



Gwilym Simcock - 'Good Days At Schloss Elmau'
The jazz pianist released this album on January 7th.


James Blake - 'James Blake'
Blake released his self-produced debut album through his own label, ATLAS, supported by A&M Records, on February 7th.

Katy B's debut album was unveiled on April 4th and was produced by Benga, Geeneus and DJ Zinc.

This collaborative album came out on March 28th through Domino Records, and took them seven years to complete.

Her eighth studio album was released on February 14th and was produced by John Parish, Mick Harvey and Flood, as well as PJ Harvey herself.

Hie debut studio album was released on October 4th via Parlophone Records, and was produced by several artists, including Labrinth, Swedish House Mafia and Stargate.
