1. Peter Bjorn and John – ‘Breaker, Breaker’
The Swedes are back with their sixth studio album, ‘Gimme Some’, set for release in March. Here’s the first single which, according to the band’s Peter Moren, was written by bandmate John Ericksson “about a journalist that he hates.” Good thing we like the song – with lines like “Before you break my heart/I’m gonna break your nose and sing about it”, we’d be scared not to.
2. MNDR – ‘Cut Me Out’
Green Label Sound are giving away a free mp3 of the latest single from NYC duo MNDR. Here’s what lead lady Amanda Warner had to say about the track: “I sang ‘like a choir singer’ to make the angelic vocal part at the top of the song. We recorded it at a slower tempo on tape, then sped up the tape to raise the pitch and make it sound like the choir was in the clouds.”
3. Yuck – ‘Coconut Bible’
As if the title isn’t intriguing enough, this is also a top-notch track. Shame it won’t be included on the band’s forthcoming debut album, but it’s the B-side to their single for ‘Holing Out’. Download the mp3 from the band’s official blog.
4. Cold War Kids – ‘Mine Is Yours’ (Passion Pit Remix)
Passion Pit took a stab at remixing the lead single from the Cold War Kids’ third album (due out at the end of the month), and they continue to have the musical golden touch. So go get hyped for the new Cold War Kids album and enjoy Passion Pit’s fine work for free.

You can also catch Sparkadia opening for the lovely Alex Winston at her NME Awards Show on February 21st.
6. Spark – ‘Revolving’ (Mike Skinner remix)
Mike Skinner might be calling time on The Streets soon, but he’s still pumping out the tunes. This one comes in the form of a remix of Spark’s ‘Revolving’. We’ve featured her as a Radar act of the week, and with good reason. The singer’s next single ‘Crave’ is out on March 14th.
7. Little Comets – ‘Joannacapella’
If you head over to Little Comets’ Facebook page, you can stream their forthcoming debut album, ‘In Search Of Elusive Little Comets’, which is due out at the end of the month. They’ve preceded the release with a track titled ‘Joanna’ – you can check out the video for the original version below. But we prefer this stripped down alternative version, which you can grab for free.

NME ranked Grouplove as one of the 50 Best New Bands Of 2010, citing ‘Colours’ as their essential track. Well, it’s 2011 and we’re still digging that song. The single was released last week, and it includes this remix by Captain Cuts – which you can score for free below.
9. Alexander – ‘Truth’
Alex Ebert, the frontman of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, is about to embark on a solo project under the name ‘Alexander’, and this track is his first solo single. The debut album ‘Alexander’ will be released on April 11th and the singer will perform his first ever live show at an NME Awards show on Valentine’s Day.
10. Eliza Doolittle ft Aaron LaCrate – ‘Rockin With The Best’
Here’s a one-off collaboration between London’s pop-soul singer Eliza Doolittle and DJ/film producer Aaron LaCrate (who’s also the the man behind Milkcrate Records and Milkcrate clothing). As of now, it’s just being released as a free digital single, so it’s a nice little digital musical gift.
