Meet Napoleon IIIrd:

Napoleon IIIrd

Hailing from Leeds, Napoleon IIIrd is "a one man pop machine and his reel-to-reel". He's signed to Brainlove Records (the guys who bring you the middle room at Club NME KOKO most Fridays) and his debut album just scored 8/10 in the mag. He's like a chilled out Dan Deacon, a conjuror of eletronic soundscapes that works alone and owes as much of a debt to the opera (or at least the operatic stylings of Wild Beasts, who he toured with last year) as to the Moog. If you like this track, pre-order the album on the Brainlove site. There's a special release party at KOKO on Nov 19th too - details and cheap entry here.

Dutch Uncles, meanwhile, release new single 'Fragrant' this week on Memphis Industries, and Egyptian Hip Hop were on hand as ever to screw around with it to excellent effect.
