NME Radio – Win Festival Tickets

It’s a busy week here in the NME Radio studios, and it’s been particularly busy for Chris Martin – he talked to Animal Collective about the phenomenal success of ‘Merriweather Post Pavilion’ (we’re still playing ‘My Girls‘ all the time down here!) and then on Tuesday he chatted to Kasabian! He’s talking to The Hours as well on Friday – how he manages to find any time whatsoever to play any tunes, I’ll never know.

There are some new faces around the studio as well – Gill Mills is doing a brand new show at the weekends, but this week she’s filling in For Neil Cole, so it’s up to Gill to give away tickets for this year’s Ether Festival, which takes place at the South Bank Centre in London from 9th – 24th April with headline acts including Peaches, two headline dates with David Byrne and talks from Brian Eno amongst others… If you want those tickets, Gill has got them from 10am on Thursday and Friday.

Further to my last post, thanks to everyone who’s now following us on Twitter – even though it means I now spend lots of time watching Twitter when I should be working. Hey, like playing a bunch of great tunes to people is actually working.

It’s been another great week for random stupidity on my show, with the downloads of the day, as I endeavour to bring you quality free MP3s and truly random websites. The award for “most random site of the week” has to go to Omegle.com, which is a chat site where you just end up talking to random people around the globe. It’s dumb, funny, and utterly addictive. Try it, but don’t say I didn’t warn you!
