One Direction Dress Up As Glam Metal Band For Record Store Day

Err, okaaay. As if the news that One Direction are to release a special Record Store Day picture disc ('Midnight Memories') wasn't surreal enough, they've dressed up like '80s glam rockers for its cover. Makes sense I guess, seeing as how Harry Styles spends most of his free time partying like a member of Mötley Crüe circa 1985, if the tabloids are to be believed. Anyway, fair play to the band for getting behind Record Store Day - the annual event shouldn't be just about beardy musos shoulder-barging each other out of the way to get their hands on limited edition Talk Talk reissues, but about persuading people of all ages to buy from independent record shops.

That said, I'll probably pick up the LCD Soundsystem live album and leave this one to Directioners. Nice zebra skin trousers, Niall:
